Today, it’s not just about chocolate; it’s about passion and dedication. Our organic milk chocolate from the Virunga region in the Congo blends powerful Amelonado cocoa with the delicate aroma of Chinese jasmine tea. It’s a delightful experience that touches not only your palate but also your heart, supporting a project that empowers women in one of the world’s poorest regions.

Irresistibly strong yet gentle

As rich as the nature in the oldest African national park, Virunga, from which the Amelonado cocoa used in this organic milk chocolate by Original Beans originates. As fresh and fragrant as delicate jasmine blossoms. Enjoy a taste experience that harmoniously balances subtle grapefruit notes with undertones of cappuccino and combines them with a fine, delicate texture.

Crafted with passion for nature and people (Virunga, D.R. Congo)

One can make bad chocolate from good cocoa, but not good chocolate from bad: for example, cocoa production associated with social injustice and environmental destruction. Original Beans has developed the world’s first and only Craft Cacao Standard, inspired by six clear principles for a fairer, more sustainable production to create more good cocoa.

Power to the women: The Femmes de Virunga

Long-term exploitation and armed conflicts have made the Eastern Congo one of the poorest regions in the world. Since 2013, with the “Femmes de Virunga” project, Original Beans has been supporting women in the North Kivu province to improve their social and economic position, for example through literacy courses, management and entrepreneurial training, and an interactive radio.

Can you taste the subtle grapefruit notes that harmoniously blend with the smooth texture of the chocolate?
